About Us

My name is Kassandra, but Kass is fine too. I'm 25 years young and going to be 26 this year. I'm a homemaker by choice and we're lucky enough to be able to do that. I'm a momma to 2 boys. I'm married to my wonderful husband. We live in Houston, Texas and we love it here. I love crafts of all types! I also love to read, Nora Roberts is my favorite author. I collect books, angels, porcelain dolls, and precious moments. I'm very passionate about Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness. I've had 3 miscarriages [one of which was twins] and a stillbirth.

This is my wonderful husband Jason. He is 35 years young and will be 36 in a couple of months. We started dating August 19, 2006. We had that long distance love, he lived in Texas and I lived in Indiana. December 6, 2006 I made the move down to Texas and know wonder why I waited so long. We got pregnant with our first son that December and got married May 3, 2007. We've had our ups and downs like any couple, but we love each other and couldn't live with out the other. He's a great daddy to our sons. He works full time as a commissioned security officer, and loves his job.

This is Benjamin David, our first son. He was stillborn June 11, 2007 due to a blood clotting disorder that we were unaware I have. He was born at 27 weeks gestational via C-Section. He was 21 inches long, 1 lbs 1.4 oz, and had pretty blue eyes. He also had a thyroid problem as I'm sure you can tell by looking at his height and weight. He was buried June 19, 2007 at Klein Cemetery. The Klein Funeral home was kind enough to give us a free burial service and head stone. It was the hardest thing I've ever been through, and I don't know how I did. He is our little hero and watches over us from above.

Nickalaus Joseph was born August 7, 2008 on Miracle Day. He was a miracle as I had to take a daily blood thinning shot so he would live. I delivered him C-Section at 9am that morning. He was 19 inches long and weighed 6 lbs 5 oz. Nickalaus is 2 years old and will be 3 soon. He's at that sour patch kid phase, and I refer to him as one regulary. He's very smart and has an extensive vocabulary. He knows his ABC's and can count to 20 when he wants to. He loves watching Sprout. His favorite shows are Fireman Sam, Super Readers, Caillou, Angelina Ballerina, and Sesame Street. He loves to help out around the house too. You'll hear about him a lot.

In my blog you will read about my daily adventures of being a homemaker. I also post about my crafts and do it yourself instructions in case you want to give it a try.
