National Tour First Time in Texas; Three Acres of Hands-On

The LEGO® KidsFest national tour stops in Texas at
the Austin Convention Center August 31 –
September 2, 2012, bringing all of the creative
hands-on, minds-on fun of LEGO building and
experiences together in this three acre activity-and-
entertainment-packed family event for children of
all ages and builders of all skills and interests.

Among the many exclusive, engaging LEGO
attractions, families will find:
• LEGO Model Museum: Walk among dozens
of life-sized models featuring characters from Batman, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the
Rings, Lighting McQueen and more made entirely of LEGO bricks
• LEGO Master Builder Academy: Workshops with live demonstrations and activities from the
crew who get paid to play
• LEGO Master Builders: Rock Stars of the LEGO world who build the models; there are only seven
and two will join us for the Texas tour stop
• LEGO Ninjago: Spin to victory and become a Spinjitzu master
• LEGO Friends: Build and create Heartlake City, home of the new LEGO Friends
• LEGO DUPLO®: Younger visitors can explore imagination through building
• LEGO Games Arena: Roll the dice to play LEGO board games
• Creation Nation: Build your own creation to add to a custom map of the US the size of a
basketball court
• Construction Zones: Creative free build, play and display areas

• Race Ramps: Build your own custom car, then race it down the ramp against friends and family
• LEGO Retail and KidsFest Marketplace: Purchase LEGO merchandise and official KidsFest tour
goods. The LEGO retail store at LEGO KidsFest is the largest in the country!
• Brick Pile: A gigantic pile full of thousands of LEGO bricks for creative play and enjoyment
• Monochromatic Builds: Bricks of a single color to foster group creativity
• And much more, covering over 150,000 square feet of space

This is the third year of the LEGO KidsFest national
tour and the first stop in Texas. A part of what makes
each show unique is the presence of local
organizations and businesses; in Texas partners
include the Austin Zoo, Play-Well TEKnologies, Bricks
4 Kidz, and Dell Children’s Medical Center. National
tour sponsors include Bissell®, Honest Kids®, DK
Publishing®, and Guidecraft®.

Based on sell-out attendance in previous markets,
advance ticket purchase is strongly encouraged.
Five sessions – all identical – are available for the
August 31 – September 2 tour stop. LEGO KidsFest
tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for children and

The LEGO KidsFest 2012 tour includes Cincinnati
(March 23 – 25), Denver (April 27 – 29), Milwaukee
(June 15 – 17), Texas (August 31 – September 2),
Detroit (October 12 – 14), and Pittsburgh (November 30 – December 2).
