A child's broken heart
How do you heal a 3 year old's broken heart? My son, Nick, is heart broken that his 2 cousins, Bryan and Clayton, are in Indiana again. They were here for the summer and will be back for a week during Christmas. Nick doesn't understand why they aren't home, as in here, and when they'll be back. He calls them almost everyday. Talks to Bryan the most and tells him to come home, and that his mommy can come too. He cries and tells him that he misses him. It's heart breaking to watch. How do you fix that? I'm still supposed to be able to fix boo boo's with kisses and band-aids.
Those are his boys, he calls them. He got so used to them living with my parents, and no one expected them to be back in Indiana with their mom. It's just, I don't know how to fix this. Anyone have any ideas or experience with something like this? Thanks everyone!
