Shop Name & URL:
How did you choose the name of your shop?Although it is not a very creative shop name, I did want my name included in my shop somehow. I have
been selling my sewn items for many years at craft shows and consignment shops and was known just as
Nancy, I never had to have a shop name. When I decided to open my Etsy shop I planned on making a
variety of items, not just bags and purses. Now I needed a name for my shop and that is where the Etc…
came about. I kicked around many other names but settled on this one – plain and simple to remember.
What made you decide to sew purses, pillows, and the other items in your shop?
In all my years of sewing – from making dolls clothes when I was young, sewing most of my own
clothing, then onto my kids clothes, along with household items it was hard to choose what I wanted
to stock my Etsy shop with. I chose mostly bags and purses because they are the most fun to make and
there is a wide range of fabrics that are available to choose from that are so beautiful. I have been
adding more pillows and other accessories to my shop lately.
Do you have any advice for new shop owners?
My advice for new shop owners: Create from your heart. Make the things that make you smile and feel
all happy inside. Don’t give up – keep working and perfecting your skill.
My future goal for my shop would be to double my sales next year. My shop opened October 27, 2009.
Soon I will be celebrating my third year and I am enjoying every minute.
What's your favorite item in your shop and why?

I made one for myself out of the same fabric. I think this fabric is beautiful and it happens to be my
favorite color. I get so many compliments on it too.
