Gina is the owner of In A Gadda Da Vidda shop. In A Gadda Da Vida is a song by Iron Butterfly and means The garden of life. Gina makes leather bracelets, wallets, necklaces, earrings, hair accessories, and decorations. I asked Ms. Gina to tell y'all a little about herself. Here's what she had to say.
"I am currently a student at the University of North Texas studying business but have a love for art. I have always been a crafty one growing up, taking art classes in the summer and signing up for as many art classes as possible in school. My idea for my jewelry started as I wanted to created wearable art unlike the pieces of jewelry commonly found in stores today. It was hard to me to spend money on a piece of jewelry that I knew was mass produced in some other country and would fall apart with little wear. I chose to focus on leather since it is such a natural medium that will last for decades. Each piece of jewelry is created with care and time in my home, starting with simple idea. My best pieces are generally created during the wee hours of the morning (often when I'm putting off studying). I like to know I am providing people with a work of art that was made by hand, for a reasonable price."
One thing that I learned about Gina is that she's a Texan too, gotta love that! I contacted her about a product review and giveaway. She was so very kind, and even made me a custom bracelet. I was so thrilled! Gina hand paints these leather bracelets.
