Help save my 2 little cousins?

Pass the code around so tell people, please

See these two little boys? On the left is Clayton, he's 11 and will be 12 in June. Bryan is 6 and will be 7 on Friday. They have lived with my parents off and on since Clayton was a baby. My parents have had temporary custody of them for 4 years with a 4 month off period. Their dad, my uncle, has been in and out of prison and is now in prison for 35 years. Their mom is a meth head who has always used them as a pawn with their dad. They were taken from their mom last time because Clayton had to ask the neighbor to take him to school when he missed the bus. Then 3 months later she was found naked in her bathroom with needles and meth all over the place. Their dad was out of the state, but got the same charges. The mom got probation, and the dad got 35 years in prison. Their is 1 judge in the county and he hates my uncle, which whatever, but he sides with their mom. He's going to give them back to her in August, even though she's failed numerous drug tests and didn't go to the AA meetings like she was ordered to do. It's a big mess and always has been. They've always been at our house, even when she did have them. On their visits to Indiana to see her, she always pawns them off on whoever will watch them. I love them and have watched both of them grow as babies. This is heart breaking to think they might have to go back with her. Both of them cry and don't even want to go for the summer to stay with her. She used to drug them with dimeatapp when they were younger, Bryan was a  baby and Clayton was 5. Bryan was considered a "failure to thrive child" by Indiana. After 3 months of my parents having them, he was walking and eating and that status was removed. Clayton has behavioral issues and trouble in school because of the harm she did and caused to him.

Here's what I need help with:
My parents need to come up with $1,900 to get a lawyer in Texas. They have talked to him, and he said they could get the proceedings in Texas, and easily have Texas recognize them as their legal guardians. So, I need to raise this money by June 1st. That day also happens to be my parent's 24th anniversary. If we get this money, the boys can stay here with my parents. They are my cousins, more like brothers, and best friends and cousins with my son. If they go back, their mom will do the same thing. Let some guy beat her up and do drugs while not giving a care about the boys. Whether they have food. clothes, or anything. I swear to you.

So please, help me raise the $1,900 to keep the boys. I'm begging you! Just click on the donate button and put any amount you want, even if it's just a dollar. A dollar can help. I know it seems impossible, but surely God will help our family with this.

  18. Good luck to you! I was the kid in this situation over 20 years ago! I know how it feels. My grandparents fought hard to get me away from a very similar situation. It took a SWAT team, state police, and federal agents breaking down my mom & step dad's front door on Christmas Eve, knocking down the Christmas tree in the process, then [the SWAT team] holding ME at gun point. Imagine that I was 5 at the time! Holding a 5 year old at gun point. Geesh! Thankfully, that was the last straw and the Judge granted my grandparents immediate custody of me to them. That is for enough time for my mom & stepdad to post bail, and file an injuction to get back custody of me. Thankfully, after another month and a half on Valentine's Day of 1991 my grandparents got full custody of me. Stepdad went to jail. Mom moved out of the area. Fast Forward to modern day. Stepdad actually is trying. He redid my master bath for me. Mom is remarried for the 4th time and lives nearby. We talk but that divide is still there. Hang in there it will get better!

  19. Mikey, Wow! I am so sorry to hear that you were ever in a similar situation. I can't imagine how that affected you growing up, however it seems as though you're doing okay. I'm glad it worked out for you and you got to stay with your grandparents. I hope it works out well for my cousins as well, but knowing the way this is going and the crooked judge... they will end up back with their mom. It's great that your stepdad is trying to be a better person and you talk to your mom. I'm sure it will always be a bit awkward? On a different note, it's nice to see a guy here in blog land! It makes me think about not addresses everyone as ladies lol. Thanks for stopping by Mikey!
