My Surgery Went Well

I had the surgery today and everything went well. The D & C was successful, and my staff for the procedure was great. I ended up having to have morphine along with liquid hydrocodone when I woke up in the recovery room. I"m still in pain now, but they gave me hydrocodone to help with the pain. My mom kept Nick tonight so I could rest, otherwise Nick would just be waking me up for various reasons lol. You know how kids are, especially Momma's boys. So on the way home I had an itch on my very top right thing. I got to scratch it, and found this, pictured below.

And here is my battle wound. My IV scar lol. The nurse got it in on 1 stick, which is great because I have tiny rolling veins. My hand just feels funny now.

I'm having some trouble getting around this evening. My legs feel somewhat numb and somewhat like jello. I"ve been using my cane to get to the bathroom, and the walker to get to the kitchen. I really haven't been up much other than to use the bathroom or get a drink.  I can't lift anything more than 20 lbs for 4 weeks, which I doubt I'll follow since my son weighs 40 lbs and I'm the homemaker [SAHM, housewife whatever you call it].

Now I have some cute pictures to share with you all!

Nick woke up Saturday night around 11p and wanted this gigantic apple lol. So of course, I complied.

Again with this huge apple.

Check out the pink pollen! We noticed it by our water hose, and I am easily entertained lol.

Once I feel better I'm going to finish my Giant Ruler Craft, and get to work on my Felt Flash Cards. I hope you ladies have a great Wednesday!

  3. Hi, I'm glad everything went well for you with your surgery. I had a horrible D&C I had to be in an oxygen tent with a tube down my throat and Blood on standby. I almost died. I hear this is rare, but leave it up to me to be Rare! hehe. So glad you and the baby are okay. Congrats!on your new arrival. Be Blessed.

  4. I'm glad it all went good. Let me know if you need anything. Take care of yourself.

Yeah, I don't see how doctor's expect people to follow the lifting rules when we have big young kids that need cared for and have to pick up now and then. How do they think women back in the day did it with kids and caring for crops when their husbands weren't around? LOL!
